Fabric Love Friday

I just recently purchased and received two of the coolest fabrics I've ever found!  I found them overseas from a shop in South Korea called Ness Home.  The fabric is a linen/cotton blend and is wonderful to work with.  My mind is racing with all of the awesome things I want to make with it!  First up: Market totes.  I made two sizes: one is wide and short, the other is tall.  I thought I'd try them out and then see which of the two I liked the best.

I used French Seams on the inside so that I didn't have to line the bag, which allows them to fold up with less bulk, too.  The top contrast fabric is a chambray weave shot cloth that I'm also in love with.

I'm hoping to offer them for sale in the not-too-distant future.  Which do you like the best?

Would it make good pants fabric? Meaning is it thin enough. I don't mind patching it.

I love the bags. I did a french seam once in a sling I made. It is pretty spiffy.

Speaking of spiffy is that your awesome skirt in the second model picture? I love it!

I will let you know, Judit!

This fabric would make lovely pants, or a tunic top, or skirt. It's a medium weight linen with just enough cotton to keep it from fraying too badly.

That is my AWESOME skirt! I love it so much. It's by Horny Toad, purchased when I still had money!

I love the bags, especially the one with the fabric that looks like rules notebook paper. Would love to see your full embroidered "list" that you showed on top as well :-)

Adorable! I think, for a market tote, I vote for the wider version.

Colleen - hello! these are awesome - i love the notebook pattern on the fabric, and the texture of the linen/cotton looks stunning. I can't pick which I like more, they are both super fab! Really love it when someone finds a fabric they are just so excited about as you are with this one - yeeeeah! xo

Thanks everyone! I've tried them both out, and I think I like the wider one best for groceries. But the taller one is great for trips to the library....
