Happy Injection

Yesterday, I was spending some time catching up on my favorite blogs, and Victoria, from the Silly BooDilly, talked about these hand stitched easter eggs that she found on Retro-Mama's blog (see why the call it the web? I'm thouroughly entangled).

I have found myself sick AGAIN, and I was feeling depressed. So when I saw how simple and sunny these little eggs were, I had to make some. I could literally make thousands of these out of scraps of fabric that I can't bear to throw away. As I was cutting these out last night, my husband asked, "What is the point of those? What are you going to do with all of those eggs?" "They make me feel better, " I said. And they do. If you want to make some of your own, you can find the tutorial here.

I've been meaning to make some of these too! Did you hand stitch them or use the machine?

I actually hand sewed some of these, and machine sewed others. I used a very small running stitch to hand sew the seams together, and then the ladder stitch to close it all up after stuffing. Lots of fun and VERY easy!

Hey you could make easter baskets of these for your crafty love share!
And who says everything has to have a purpose? They're wonderful! But they could certainly make great pin cushions or cat toys (just add a little catnip!)
Feel better!

Fabulous! I love what you have made and that they made you feel better! I still haven't done any yet... a bit off my game creatively. (Actually I tried to make one and botched it up!! Maybe I will try hand sewing them, too.) Hope you continue to feel better :0)
